First Edition

Screening of twelve short works by the finalist students from the
Fine Arts Academies of Bari, Lecce, and Naples

Food and Future is a video art contest dedicated to food. Application is free, but this first edition is open exclusively to students of the Fine Arts Academies in Bari, Lecce, and Naples.
The objective of this enterprise is to promote the activities of young Fine Arts students by offering them international visibility while challenging them creatively to reflect upon the topic of food, in particular concerning sustainability, equal distribution of resources, dissemination of knowledge regarding the Mediterranean diet, and the central role played by Italian food.
The twelve works to reach the final – short films under 3 minutes – have been selected by the faculty of the three academies to be submitted to both a jury and the audience at Casa Italiana.

The evening will end with the announcement of the winner of the First Edition of Food and Future, who will receive a 500€ prize.

The Casa Italiana audience will be invited to vote for an Honorable Mention award.
