View details about the event: Queering Italian Americana“On the Italian Stage” is a series of encounters conceived and led by Laura Caparrotti that journeys into the history of Italian Theater to explore its language and its contribution to Italian society and world theater.
Led by Gina Crusco, who has also guided listening at Bard LLI and Riverdale Y, “What Makes It Italian?” is a music listening and discussion group that meets online via Zoom. Participation is free and open to everyone.
“Opera to the People” is a group open to students or other young present and future audience members to delve into opera’s world and language to foster a new generation of attentive opera-goers.
Led by Grazia Montesi, Casa’s Italian Book Club meets monthly to discuss contemporary Italian books in Italian. The Club is open to anyone, and its purpose is to offer the possibility to practice the Italian language while enjoying a shared reading experience.
Though live events in our elegant building are what we are best known for, we felt the need to create web-specific content that could reach out to a wider audience beyond the borders of New York City. Check out a single episode or binge an entire web series.
