Casa Italiana Zerilli – Marimò at New York University is proud to present “A Lens on History: The Films of Lorenza Mazzetti,” an event dedicated to the life and long-forgotten career of Lorenza Mazzetti (1927–2020), an Italian emigrée who survived a family massacre by the Nazis and moved to London in the 1950s, becoming a filmmaker and one of the founders of the Free Cinema movement.

Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU premieres Furiosus, an opera by Roberto Scarcella Perino in Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center, February 16th, 2023
Inspired by Ariosto’s Orlando Furioso, the concert performance with music by Roberto Scarcella Perino and libretto by Flora Gagliardi is free and open to the public and will take place on February 16, 2023, at 7:30 pm at Merkin Hall at Kaufman Music Center in New York City.

Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU to host Bellocchio’s Kidnapped and a tribute to Giordana’s The Best of Youth in its 20th anniversary as part of Italy On Screen Today NY film fest. Italian movie stars Sonia Bergamasco and Fabrizio Gifuni are among the special guests.
“Never like this year, the movies selected for Italy On Screen Today New York uniquely reflect the tensions, problems, and contradictions of Italian society,” states Stefano Albertini, Director of Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at New York University, proud of hosting the eighth edition of Italy on Screen Today – New York Film & TV Series Fest, a cinematic festival directed and curated by Loredana Commonara.
