Over the past 40 years, women’s issues have been brought to the stage by both women and men. Stories of violence, stories of survival, stories of mothers, wives, fighters, politicians, and sheroes have been told, especially during the month of March – Women’s History Month. Some of these women are famous, while others are only known by a few. This is a journey into the plays and solo shows, the theaters that presented stories of women, and the playwrights and actors who portrayed them.
