Come celebrate the centennial anniversary of Henry Mancini: one of the most revered film composers of the 20th century. Born to Italian immigrants and raised in Pennsylvania, Henry Mancini became a top recording artist and one of the most in-demand film composers beginning in the 1950s. He catapulted to fame with the Peter Gunn tv series and cemented his place in iconic cinema with films such as Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Days of Wine and Roses, and The Pink Panther. Hollywood adored Henry, in fact several Hollywood actresses requested him to score their films, such as Audrey Hepburn, Sofia Loren, and Julie Andrews. Winning multiple awards, including 4 Academy Awards and 20 Grammys, Henry Mancini’s music continues to be heard throughout the world, recognized as an important part of Hollywood history.
Brian Fahey is a vocalist originally from Rhode Island and studied music at The Boston Conservatory in Massachusetts. He has performed in multiple venues throughout the world, including the United States, Europe, and Japan. Brian has always championed the American songbook, and some of his greatest musical influences include Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, and Jack Jones. Brian is thrilled to help bring Henry Mancini’s music to life at the Casa Italiana.
