To celebrate the upcoming US premiere of Furiosus, an opera by Roberto Scarcella Perino based on Ariosto’s novel Orlando Furioso, On the Italian Stage takes a trip inside the story of Orlando, Rinaldo and La Bella Angelica. This story has served as inspiration to theatrical works for centuries and in many forms: story-telling, Pupi, prose, and – of course – opera, the latest of which by M° Scarcella Perino will debut in New York in February, 2023.
