What happens when an Italian-American writes a Broadway musical? Find out for yourself, as we hear James Bassi sing through some of his brand new score for “The Red Carpet.”

James Bassi is a composer/arranger/music director/pianist/singer who works with the grassroots and the greats. Rehearsal pianist for the New York Philharmonic, arranger/pianist for Deborah Voigt and Tovah Feldshuh, and composer whose work was featured at the Vatican during Christmas Eve Midnight Mass, Maestro Bassi has also taught high school-age novice composers and created music for the LaGuardia High School chorus.

You will experience a selection of Maestro Bassi’s classical works and his magical arrangements of songs by Jerome Kern recorded by Casa Italiana’s neighbor, Voices of Ascension.
