The concert Fotogrammi: Scenes of Life and Music offers jazz singer Mafalda Minnozzi the opportunity to sing her own life story through the songs and the composers that accompanied her throughout her career of 35 years. Inspired by her latest album, CINEMA CITY – Jazz Scenes from Italian Film, Fotogrammi witnesses Minnozzi assembling a strong and emotional soundtrack, not unlike the score of a film. The result is an intimate narrative sequence that allows the audience to empathize naturally with the artist who seems to be cast as both audience and protagonist of this movie.
Through songs that include “Nuovo Cinema Paradiso” by Morricone, “Anonimo veneziano” by Cipriani, “E la chiamano Estate” by Bruno Martino, “Arrivederci Roma” by Rascel, “amapola” by Lacalle, and “L’Appuntamento [Sentado à Beira do Caminho]” by Erasmo and Roberto Carlos, Minnozzi reveals her irresistible story of truth, passion, and love for art.
