This family event aims to take children on a virtual journey to Italy, with artist Costanza Musumeci, exploring the captivating story of Italian Carnevale and its famous traditions, characters, masks and culinary specialties. Ms. Musumeci will share a few insights into Carnevale’s rich history and cultural significance. Following the presentation, the children will have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on Venetian Maschere Lab, getting creative and decorating paper-machè masks using gems, laces, special markers, colorful stickers, and feathers. Traditional and delicious treats known as chiacchiere di carnevale will be served to our young participants. At the end of the Lab, children will bring home their masks as a sweet memory of this colorful and creative experience.
