The fifth Adventure in Italian Opera with Fred Plotkin of this season features Irish mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught, one of opera’s top young stars. Trained at the Royal Irish Academy of Music by Veronica Dunne (who sang with Maria Callas), Erraught was based in Munich following her studies and gained wide acclaim there. She now appears in major opera houses and will sing Angelina, the title character in Rossini’s La Cenerentola at the Met, March 12-April 3, 2020.
