I wish to send my congratulations to you, to the Director, and to all the promoters, supporters, and friends of Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò of New York University, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of this worthy institution.

Since its inception, made possible by your generous donation, Casa Italiana has enhanced the University's Department of Italian Studies, and has truly made it an important center for the spreading of the italian language and culture.

I believe that promoting the Italian literary and artistic heritage in the United States is of crucial importance to the relationship between the two countries. I am certain that the passion and commitment shown by yourself and by the many professors and visiting scholars will ensure that Casa Italiana will continue to grow steadily, further contributing to the strengthening of ties between Italy and the United States.
